Dr. Erianne Weight

Weight_HeadshotErianne Weight is the director of the Center for Excellence in Intercollegiate Athletics and an assistant professor of sport administration at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her widely-cited research is directed by a vision to increase opportunities for athletic participation and education. She is an active consultant for several Division I intercollegiate athletics departments and just completed a text book for Human Kinetics entitled Administration in Intercollegiate Athletics.  It is her hope that through research and leadership training, she will be able to give back to the industry of intercollegiate athletics as much as she has gained from it.  She treasures her experience as an NCAA Division I heptathlete and believes in the tremendous potential of education through athletics.
