Pam Overton joined Collegiate Sports Associates in 2013 after serving 27 years in administration of Division I collegiate athletics programs. Prior to coming to Collegiate Sports Associates, she served as Associate Athletic Director/SWA at Florida State University and Director of Affiliate Relations at the 1A Athletic Directors’ Association. At FSU, along with sport oversight, she concentrated in student development, strategic planning, leadership development, and gender equity. She also held a similar position at East Carolina University for thirteen years and chaired the NCAA Advisory Board that developed the original CHAMPS/Life Skills Program and the D1A Program of Excellence. Division 1A Athletic Directors named her the Inaugural “Gene Hooks” Award Winner for her service and work in student-athlete development, while Athletic Management Magazine named her an outstanding role model in athletic administration.
She has served as a consultant for Universities and the NCAA on student-athlete development and academic excellence. Pam has been a frequent presenter at national conferences and workshops.
Overton earned her master’s degree and her educational specialist degree in Educational Counseling. She resides in Charlotte, NC
