ABOUT COLLEGIATE SPORTS ASSOCIATES
CSA is led by President Drew Turner, who transitioned into the role in January 2023. The firm was founded in 2010 by former Director of Athletics Todd Turner to provide executive search and consulting services to NCAA institutions and their athletics programs. With over 300 projects completed to date, CSA has become one of higher education’s most active and respected consulting and executive search firms.
Todd Turner
Chairman & Founder
Todd Turner has served the intercollegiate sports world for over 30 years as an administrator, teacher, and mentor to students, coaches, and colleagues.
Drew Turner
President
Drew Turner joined CSA in 2019 after serving within the senior management and development teams at Old Dominion University, and previously held athletics fundraising positions at Duke and South Carolina.
Dr. Brad Bates
Vice President, Consulting
Dr. Bradley J. Bates is an experienced and respected leader in collegiate athletics, most recently serving as the Director of Athletics at Boston College and previously at the University of Miami (OH).
Craig Littlepage
Senior Advisor
Veteran Administrator and Men’s Basketball Coach, serving most recently as Director of Athletics at Virginia until 2017. Before a 27-year career in administration, Littlepage served as an assistant coach at Virginia and as Head Coach at Penn and Rutgers.
Marcy Lanoue
Vice President and Chief of Staff
Marcy Lanoue joined CSA in 2023 after serving as a collegiate athletics administrator for over 15 years. She has held positions at the University of San Diego, the University of Southern Mississippi, the University of South Florida, and the University of Miami.
Clay Pfeifler
Senior Consultant
Clay joined CSA in 2018 after a year within UNC Athletics’ administrative team, and supports CSA’s search & consulting practices. He holds an M.A. through UNC’s SpAd program and an MBA from Florida State University.
Stephanie Garcia Cichosz
Director of Strategic Communications
Stephanie joined CSA in 2023 after serving as a principal content strategist with Drive and Company and CS Connect. She brings a decade of experience in professional track and field and was a student-athlete at the University of Virginia.
Zoe Connell
Sr. Director of Sales – Collegiate Sports Connect
Zoe joined CS Connect in February 2023 and leads Connect’s business development efforts. She previously led New Business Sales for the Aspire Group at Army West Point. Connell graduated from SUNY New Paltz, where she was a basketball student-athlete.
Kate Mertz
Senior Director of Customer Success – Collegiate Sports Connect
Kate joined CS Connect in 2022 and leads Connect’s client and user relations. The Michigan native is a double graduate of UNC Chapel Hill, where she played for the Women’s Soccer team.
Will McGillis
Will joined the CSA and Collegiate Sports Connect team in 2024 after playing two seasons of professional baseball in the Los Angeles Angels organization. While competing as a student-athlete, he earned a BSBA and an MBA from Southern Miss and a MS in Coaching Education from South Carolina.
Hannah Tippy
Research & Analytics Intern
Hannah joined CSA’s team for the 2024-2025 academic year and is a second-year graduate student at North Carolina’s Sport Administration Graduate Program. Hannah is a Temple University alumna and also serves as a graduate assistant in UNC’s Athletics Business Office.

Dr. Jason Penry, Baseball – Founder of the Surefire Baseball Forum, 26 of the 100 coaching alumni secured their first NCAA Division I head coach role after attending; Founder of Penry Advisors, fundraising counsel and training; Professor of Practice at Texas A&M University.
Marcy Girton, Senior Advisor – Marcy has served as a collegiate athletics administrator for over 30 years. She has held positions including Chief Operating Officer at Auburn University, Deputy Athletics Director at Texas A&M University and Chief Operating Officer at University of South Carolina.
Mac Hart, Consulting – Industry veteran of more than three decades, serving in executive leadership, business, and compliance roles at ETSU, Idaho State, Utah, Providence, and UConn, among others. Hart currently serves as Assistant AD for Business & Finance at James Madison University..
Dr. Erianne Weight, Research – Co-Director of the Center for Research in Intercollegiate Athletics (CRIA), Professor and Program Director for the Sport Administration Graduate Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
