BIG EAST Adds Nicole Early as Senior Associate Commissioner

NEW YORK, NY – The BIG EAST Conference has announced the addition of Nicole Early as Senior Associate Commissioner, Marketing and External Affairs. 

Collegiate Sports Associates was grateful to assist BIG EAST Commissioner Val Ackerman on the search resulting in Early’s hire. 

In addition, the BIG EAST announced two other additions to the marketing and digital operations staff. Bobby Mullen has been named Senior Director, Social and Digital Media and Ben Piascik has been named Coordinator, Creative Services. 

“We are very excited to welcome Nicole, Bobby and Ben to our Conference Office team and know they will all add great value to the services we provide to our member schools,” said BIG EAST Commissioner Val Ackerman.

Early spent the past 19 years at George Washington University, most recently as Associate Athletics Director/Senior Woman Administrator. Her direct responsibilities at GW included marketing, fan engagement, ticket sales and operations, multimedia and broadcast services, and licensing and brand management. She also served as the school’s liaison with Learfield/IMG and was as chair of the Atlantic 10 Marketing Committee. Prior to her time at George Washington, she served as Spirit Program Coordinator at Syracuse University and began her career working for Varsity Brands, where she was a Territory Manager for sales and camp/clinic operations. Early is a graduate of SUNY-Cortland.
