Collegiate Sports Associates Welcomes Marcy Girton As Senior Advisor
RALEIGH, NC – Collegiate Sports Associates President Drew Turner announced today the addition of longtime Division I athletics administrator Marcy Girton as a Senior Advisor for the firm’s search and consulting practice.

Girton, who most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Auburn University, joins CSA during a period of exciting growth for the firm. Since 2020, CSA has led more than 100 executive search projects in intercollegiate athletics including an industry-leading 32 DI Athletics Director searches. In addition to the firm’s work in the AD space, these projects include searches for Head Coaches and senior level administrators.
CSA has also conducted numerous consulting projects such as athletics strategic plans and program reviews. CSA’s recent clients include partners from all levels of intercollegiate athletics such as Arizona State, Austin Peay, The Big South Conference, Bowling Green, California, Duke, Nebraska, Towson and West Virginia, among many others.

During her seven year tenure in Auburn, Girton served as a key advisor to the Director of Athletics and directed the overall planning, implementation and day-to-day operations of the department. In addition to facilitating a strategic plan, facilities master plan and serving as acting AD during a recent transitional period for the department, Girton facilitated employment searches for key roles such as the Head Women’s Basketball Coach and Executive Associate AD/Senior Woman Administrator, among others.
Prior to her time with the Tigers, Girton was the Deputy Director of Athletics at Texas A&M (2012-2016), Chief Operating Officer at the University of South Carolinan (2008-2012), Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator at Texas Christian University (1999-2008), and Associate Director of Athletics/Senior Woman Administrator at Western Carolina University (1996-1999). Girton’s career in athletics includes Head Women’s Basketball and Tennis coaching roles at the Division II, III and NAIA levels.
